Which in layman's terms means the browser extensions are not as "powerful" as the paid standalone apps (AdGuard for Windows, AdGuard for Mac and AdGuard for Android). But these are ad blocking browser extensions and they are subject to each browser's extension API and its limitations. There is a free alternative, the AdGuard Adblocker browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera, etc. There's yearly licenses (so paid for every year) and there's lifetime licenses (which is a one time fee). That's how a lot of commercial software works these days. Well, the mention of a trial period almost always means it's an app that's paid for (also known as commercial software) in this case it's free to try in a trial basis for 14 days (it says this on the main page too) then after 14 days it requires a paid license.
